Biax® Foundation System

Made of recycled polypropylene plastic, this foundation system is all weather and eco-friendly. These pods are a post-tensioned or rebar-reinforced slab engineered for expansive, compressible, liquefiable or rocky soils. These are easily placed on grade and secured together.

Biax® Pods cut down on concrete costs significantly. Each Pod provides a void, where soil can expand to avoid foundational or structural failures.

About Biax® Foundation System

Biaxial Design

When load is applied to the foundation, a biaxial design distrubutes the weight and stress more even and uniformly. This increases the load capacity, structural integrity, and reduces uneven settling.

Cost-Effective

Biax Pods can save you thousands on slab. Even in comparison to WaffleMat, these Pods are not only bigger, they have more size options to fit your build. The larger sizes increase the area covered, meaning less Pods to purchase and less expensive per square foot as a whole.

Biaquatix Water Mitigation System

Water can be destructive when it's not tamed.  The Biaquatix system is a rectangular shaped modular element made of 100% regenerated HD PE, designed for the creation of a underground systems for the dispersion in the subsoil of rainwater or pre-treated waste water.

1. Generalities

The infiltration chambers are installed inside a medium size washed gravel bed, which has the function of:

  • Allocation of applied loads.
  • Water accumulation and dispersion.

2. Product Usage

Biaquatix is used for the following systems:

  1. Ponds or trenches for subsoil dispersion or water displacement.
  2. Lamination of rainwater.
  3. Basin for stormwater storage and reuse.
  4. Dispersion trenches for subsoil dispersion of waste water after a clarification  treatment.

Depending on the application, engineering will dictate the installation of the Biaquatix system.

3. Functionality

Collection and Return

These dispersing chambers make it possible to build a high-capacity underground system capable of temporarily accumulating rainwater from the surface collection network or waste water from an Imhoff pit. Depending on the type of installation and site conditions, the system is able to release the accumulated water.

4. Structural Characteristics

Biaquatix system makes it possible to maintain the use of the surface above, which can be left green or paved. Depending on the use. a suitable installation package must be provided for:

  • A variation in the chambers depth.
  • Minimum gravel thickness above tunnels

The product may or may not be suitable for installation below buildings.
